Early American Prairie Dress

This is a two piece jacket and skirt set.   

The jacket is fashioned in a beautiful floral calico and has two tucks in the front along with mock buttons and a Velcro closure. Contrasting checkered fabric is used for the Pleated ties in back and binding along the lower and front opening and neck edges. Lace trims the neck edge tapering towards the front. The long full sleeves are piped at the top and cuffed with the same contrasting fabric. LACE TRIM edges the cuff and is turned up with a button.

The skirt is tucked twice at the bottom (which is hard to see in the photos) and edged with the checkered fabric. The waistband (not shown) also done in the checkered fabric is fastened with one hook-n-eye closure.
