—Prestigious Award Marks the Magazine's Ninth Recognition in Ten Years—
Middleton, WI (March 2002)—This March, Pleasant Company's American Girl magazine—the largest publication created exclusively for girls ages 8 to 12—received its sixth consecutive Gold Award from the Parents' Choice Foundation. The Gold Award is the foundation's top honor and is given to those products that are judged as having the highest production standards, universal human values, and a unique, individual quality that pushes the product a notch above others in its genre. This year's Gold Award marks the ninth time the Parents' Choice Foundation has honored American Girl magazine since its introduction in 1992.
